Julio Pinera is a Certified Public Accountant who, surprisingly enough, has the audacity to write fiction. As unusual as that may sound, he has been writing for over ten years. Finding time to write between having a family and a career that includes various roles as CFO, Controller and Consultant.
He has written three novels, many short stories, and is currently working on another novel. In his other spare time he enjoys playing golf, reading books (what else would you do with books?), following sports, watching movies and dining out, though not necessarily in that order.
Julio was born in Havana, Cuba and was brought, along with his brother, to the United States by his parents when they fled the Castro regime in 1961. Although he had nothing to do with this decision, he is nonetheless forever grateful.
He currently lives in Miami, Florida with his children.
